UNDER 18 TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Parental / Guardian Consent

I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the participant and have the legal authority to provide consent on their behalf. I consent to their registration and participation in Safe-Hub programmes and activities and confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of my knowledge.

2. Child Safeguarding

Safe-Hub is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all children and young people. Safeguarding and child protection policies apply to all programmes, activities, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

3. Use of Personal Information

Safe-Hub collects and processes personal information relating to the child for registration, programme delivery, safeguarding and child protection, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and legal/compliance purposes. Information may be shared with authorised partner organisations for these purposes under strict confidentiality and POPIA protections. Processing is done in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), 2013, and is based on parent/guardian consent and the best interests of the child.

4. Participation & Medical Emergencies

I understand that participation in Safe-Hub activities may involve normal physical, sporting, and recreational risks. In the event of an emergency, I authorise Safe-Hub to obtain appropriate medical assistance for my child where I cannot reasonably be contacted. I remain responsible for ensuring appropriate transport and collection arrangements for my child.

5. Media & Photography

During Safe-Hub activities, photographs, videos, and recordings may be taken. Consent for the use of identifiable images or recordings for promotional, reporting, educational, fundraising, or communication purposes is optional and may be provided or declined separately. Refusing consent will not affect participation in Safe-Hub programmes.

Media use consent: I consent to AMANDLA and/or Safe-Hub using identifiable photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, or quotations of me (or my child) for external communications, reporting, educational, fundraising, or promotional purposes.

Voluntary and withdrawable: I understand that this consent is voluntary and, that refusal will not affect participation in programmes or access to sites. I may withdraw this consent at any time with prospective effect by notifying the organisation in writing.

Sharing with partners: I acknowledge that AMANDLA and/or Safe-Hub may share such media with trusted partners for the same purposes, subject to applicable safeguarding and data protection requirements.
